Station Count Mismatches

#1

Post by glorp » Wed May 17, 2017 9:18 pm

These are snips from the last 7 days' logs. Does this seem odd or is it expected that the station count should be different than the stations data retrieved count? It started a while back and seems to vary some every day. Before that I think those two counts were always the same. I've not noticed any actual problems with the underlying schedule data or channels missing data though. Mostly curious how this can happen.

I'll post later with more detail, but basically there are some channels that didn't have any new data (i.e. only had 13 days instead of 14 days). This is not typical by the way, but I think rkulagow is still working on a few things behind the scenes to considerably boost the robustness and reliability of the data delivery.

Yes, the backend is in the process of a rewrite, but occurring in a separate branch; we need to ensure that we're still providing data to as many users as possible without breaking backward compatibility.

The issues that you're seeing with some stations not having data is one of the primary drivers for the new code.

Alright guys. Thanks for the explanation! It's not been any trouble to me at all, just more worrisome as to whether it was something to be concerned about. That answers it.
