So that extended info comes from Microsoft/Rovi? That's unfortunate. What is going to happen when Microsoft ends guide support?
Is the info available elsewhere? Is it something we can ask SD to add to their feed? Would be nice to have no dependencies of any
kind on Microsoft.
After upgrading from 1.0.1 to 1.1.3, WMC crashes

SD does provide actor roles when available and similar movies. I populate the actor roles, but have not found a way to access the similar movies or reviews.stuartm wrote:So that extended info comes from Microsoft/Rovi? That's unfortunate. What is going to happen when Microsoft ends guide support?

I would categorize the full plot, review, and similar movies as a nice to have which is why I always recommend to keep the download options checked. I don't think not having that information breaks WMC in any way.

I can live without similar movies and reviews as long as there is some description of the movie I am happy. My concern was more based around having any reliance on Microsoft that was not something that could be turned off. Sounds like that is not the case.
