Inband data for channels without EPG data

#1

Post by hego25 » Mon Nov 21, 2016 10:08 am

SD does not provide data for all my subscribed channels,
so I want to get the inband data (better than nothing!)
It seems that NOT agreeing to the Program Guide TOS turns the inband service off.
(EPG123 Installation and User’s Guide page 4 Step 2, item 4)

Is there a way to reactivate inband data for those channels?

Thank you for making the EPG123!

I don't intentionally disable in-band ... in fact, the in-band flag for each tuner channel is left alone/enabled but it is possible I am disabling it with a registry setting.

Please try setting the following registry keys and see if the in-band data reappears.
[HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Media Center\Service\BackgroundScanner]
“PeriodicScanEnabled”=dword:00000001
“PeriodicScanIntervalSeconds”=dword:00005460

IMPORTANT: While trying the above registry key, DO NOT OPEN EPG123 GUI. When the GUI is opened, it will reset the keys to 0x0 and 0x7FFFFFFF respectively.
