Null object exception when running EPG123

Indiana Brighthouse cable here- my guide data ended today for HD channels too, although I think there are a few days of data in the guide for SD channels.

I have a sub to Schedules Direct already and already set up EPG123 on another HTPC at my house already, and that other box still has a fully functional guide including HD channels. Been meaning to set up EPG123 on this box too, and figured now was a good time.

However, I tried setting up EPG123 (using latest epg123 version for windows 7 as it is win 7 home premium) on this box just as the instructions pdf instructed and just as I did on the other box, and when I hit "save and execute" after choosing my lineup and other options, the little command prompt window comes up and starts downloading data, but it freezes and crashes at the same point (tried it several times both with and without running epg123.exe as admin) during the downloading with a null object exception or something similar. Could this in any way be related to the Rovi guide outage?
