No data guide at all!

Hello all,

just install epg123. I follow the guide step by step. Everything seams to work with SD. I have a new epg123.mxf generated. No error message when it update wmc guide...but ..I don't have any data in my guide.

Btw, i'm in Canada so I need to hack wmc to get ATSC signal scanned. Also, my Win7 is in french...

any ideas what could be wrong?

Do you have "Automatically Import Guide into WMC" & "Automatch Stations to channels" checked?

If you do, did it list out each channel number and act like it was "renaming" the channel (this is right before it loads the updated data into WMC)?

Your stations have not been matched to the tuner channels yet. You can execute "epg123Client.exe -match" to automatically make that happen (the lineup used in epg123 must be the same as your actual lineup for this to be correct), or manually match the stations by editing channel listings in WMC.

Also, with the separation of WMC from MS/Rovi, there shouldn't be a need to do the hack for Canada ATSC... give it a try.

Great thanks now I have data for some channel. But some are disable in the WMC channel config??

Does epg123 rely on name or channel numbers?

Channel numbers ... that's why the SD lineup you select needs to match the actual lineup you are receiving. Could you give a little more information on your setup so I can try and understand what you're missing?

Ok everything seems to work now.
I need to have to lineups because the OTA lineup from SD for Montreal does not include some US channels that I get. So I need to take another cable lineup that grab those channels but the number of those channels are not the same as the discovered channel numbers in WMC. So I assigned the channels in WMC to the right channels of the downloaded guide.

Also, I reorder the channels using guide editor and assign channel logos with my channel logo xl. Et voila!

Thank you guys for your prompt responses

Please open a Schedules Direct "lineup issue" ticket at our website (where you created your account) and let us know which channels are missing from the over-the-air lineup.
