Garyyan,

I will be receiving a new computer in a few weeks, I am sure it will have the new windows 10 that was just loaded on my computer last week,

I have all your information for the EPG 123 client, and the WMC V8.81 that I use for the old computer to get Media center back on when windows kicks it off, they work for me, I just have to remember the sequence, ahaaah

since I have this on A SPERATE HARD drive, is that all I need to get WMC on the new computer ,,,,,,,,,,I will not have to down load either one because they are on the SEPERATE HARD DRIVE

thanks for the help now and in the past,

this site is great for dummies like me

have a great day

After you extract WMC V8.8.1 there is a file in there named readme.txt which contains instructions.

Another great place for helpfully instructions is the place where WMC for win10 was developed...

Hey Crash 2009
good to hear from you, I got the new lap top, after a few day messing with it getting things straightened out, I sat down and spent 2 days trying to get WMC, I got the skin loaded, got the tuner loaded got epg1213 loaded, then the fun started, I could ont get things to gell, tuner was ok, but the epg123 would not work right, I messed with it for 3 hours, then went on to something else, With the old comuter I was able to get MWC loaded and working each time windows kicked it off,

I'm 74 and can't golf right now, to cold , so one of these days I will try it again,,,,,,,I was smart enough ((ahahahaha) to get the wireless hooked up to the lap top and tv by myself and took the 3 cable wires off the floor.........

I am not sure if the new windows is stopping me or not, i can get to the screen where is says I want to get my own stations, then that is where epg123 does not work,

In a few days we will give it a try again an i will use your information to help ,

thanks for the info, have a great day

Crash, I tried again to get WMC over the weekend on the new lap top

what a mess, I got the blue skin down, the driver down, and the epg123 got stalled, no maker what it would not load, then i tried to use the computer and WMC locked the computer, messing around i finally got a system restore, well dumb me took it back to the week before it was sent to me, I called HP and they had me do a system recovery and in 2 days i finally have the 2 week old computer working great again,, so i guess i am done with WMC, as much as i hate to see it go.

I want to thank every one on here that is smart enough and shares their finding to dummies like me.

I wish you all the best, maybe some day i'll try again, not so soon though,,,,,,,,

Even Bill Gates couldn't make WMC run on the newest Win10.

Go down to the junk store and buy yourself a Win7.

Order an HDMI 4X4 Matrix Switcher.

Have your cake and eat it too.
