Just an FYI - I finally heard back from ROVI from their customer support email: ipgcustomersupport@rovicorp.com
Hi,
We are looking into this. Nothing has changed on our end and we still have lineups listed for RCN for this zip code. We're now verifying the data we're sending to Microsoft.
Are you still having this problem?
Suzy
If you continue to experience EPG guide data issues, I would encourage you to email them so they become aware of the issue.

OK. We'll check the files we send Microsoft today. If they are OK we'll report this issue to Microsoft.

Seeing how the MSN TV Listings include RCN, I'd say the issue is at Microsoft's end and not Rovi.

I just received the following response from Rovi - it appears the guide data will be fixed in the next couple days:
We have identified and corrected the underlying issue within the data. Please allow 48-72 hours for the updates to flow through the system to the Microsoft/WMC end.
Thank you,
Rovi Support

Same here!

However, despite the restoration I will still use my new guide setup. However, it will be nice to have the channel lineups back so I don't have to take on the task of editing out unused channels!
So I guess the sky isn't falling - or maybe at a slower speed than we thought it was!

I also heard back from the MSFT rep too….
Hi sourcehound:
I reported this up to our team on Monday - it appears the issue has been
found and should be rectified soon. An update is going out tomorrow, so
hopefully this gets fixed by the end of the week.

It seems some people still care.

I rebuilt my media center and attempted to download the guide data.
It failed until I edited the hosts file; after doing so it downloaded and RCN Chicago Digital has been added back.
It downloaded the guide data, but only a few channels (about 20) are updated with guide data?

Hey Guys - I have been still having this problem. The Channel Setup finds RCN and I was able to add my channels, but unfortunately the guide data still doesn't show up. I am using Zip code 60618 and the standard RCN (Not the RCN Crush) as my selected channel. For those that are getting the guide data, do you have any tips? Anyone else having this problem still?
Thanks,
Joe
Thanks,
Joe

The following video resolved my issue - I also needed to reset media center by running the Task Scheduler / Media Center Tasks

This issue for me has returned. I have the guide for basically over the air channels 602-618. The rest of the cable channels now have no data again. I was using area code 60613. I emailed Rovi IPG Customer Support again. Hopefully they fix this

I have the same problem in 60618, I have over the air channels with guide data, but no RCN guide data. If anyone has this working, I would greatly appreciate any advice.
Thank you so much,
Joe
