Guide downloading only when forced with -pcsn0

After several great weeks of no problems at all, twice in the last 4 days the guide has not updated. Event log shows what i believe to be all the proper retrievals, but it isn't updated.

However, if I run mcupdate -uf -pscn0 the guide DOES update. The first time I applied it I waited about an hour after the failed 'update'. Tasks run at about 5am and 5pm, with the am one being the update over the last few weeks. Today I waited 12 hours for the 5pm 'update' which didn't work and then again use the mcupdate switches which did work.

Anybody know what the problem is?

Update. Still not working. It looks like the epg guide listings do not extract. I have found that even a forced update from within media center DOES WORK. Anybody with hints? Thanks.
