How can I get guide for DISH Network in Pacific Time Zone?
Our housing development now has a commercial account with DISH, and we receive it though our cable system. When I try to set up WMC by entering my Zip code, only a local cable company appears. Not only are the channels incorrect, but SOME of the listings, like TBS, are for the EASTERN time zone! So I have to adjust 3 hours when trying to record a program!
Does Rovi offer a guide for DISH service, where listings are correct for the Pacific time zone? If so, what zip code do I have to enter to get it? WMC seems to only work by zip code, not by provider. Any help would be appreciated.

1) ..is your PC set to the correct Time Zone?Goodguy6 wrote:When I try to set up WMC by entering my Zip code, only a local cable company appears.
2) ..Is your Hosts file correct?
3)a ..http://www.thegreenbutton.tv/forums/vie ... 59#p106159 Have a look at this one. When you punch in your zip code, You should see a bunch of choices like in post 152. Do you see your area listed there? You might have to scroll down to see more choices.
3)b You likely just need to run Tuner Setup, not the whole Setup Custom.

Regarding your questions...
1. Yes. Pacific Time
2. What do you mean by: "Is your Hosts file correct?"?
3. When I get to this screen, I see several local providers. What I WANT to see is something like: DISH West, so I can get a channel guide that echos the DISH lineup.
So please refer to my second paragraph: "Does Rovi..." etc. and see if you can answer my question.

2. Is your hosts file set to a West coast IP
3. I don't know. You would have to check MSN or rovi guide website. I don't know where it is anymore. It was moving around quite a bit this spring. The website is about as reliable as the rovi Guide Service, everybody is going EPG123 Guide Service. Rovi Sucks!

Regarding your other question.....
If you go to WMC or the website in the picture and punch in zip 90004 you should get the same choices.
As you can see there are several choices for dish.
If your zip does not give you west coast choices, your zip might be broken in the guide. Get a zip code map and draw a straight line towards a working zip. Try every zip between your zip and the working zip. Eventually you will find one that works.

@Crash2009. When I saw your post I had such hope. Yes, the correct time zone listings were displayed on TV.com! HOWEVER, when I tried to use the 90004 zip code to setup WMC, the Dish options didn't appear!! So can you think of any way to get Dish options to appear in the WMC setup?

You can make the font bigger if you provide useful information, like a WORKING ZIP CODE that shows DISH West Coast Satellite! You can even use italics!

Are you in 90004 ? if not, how can you say it is not working?Goodguy6 wrote:You can make the font bigger if you provide useful information, like a WORKING ZIP CODE that shows DISH West Coast Satellite! You can even use italics!
The other guy just told you the SF Bay is working. Are you going to say that one doesn't work also? Of course it wont if you are not there.
