Netflix Plugin in France?

#1

Post by Romain » Tue Sep 23, 2014 2:13 pm

(I'm French, Google translation)

Hello everyone,

I am a user of Windows Media Center since numerous years and Netflix just arrived in France.

I know there is an application for Windows Media Center, but it does not appear in the menus

I also tried to put the system in English, but do not always appear.

I also found the executable installation but it stops before completion.

Someone would have an idea?

thank you

I live in Sweden and Netflix was not enabled for us either in WMC. The only workaround I could find was to use a service like unotelly to get an US IP. But even that, just getting the netflix icon in WMC can be a pain, lots of restarts and forced mceupdates. Google around, and you will find a guide.

Note that the netflix api will change sometime this fall and it is unlikely that MS will fi the WMC plugin, they will rather let it fall in it's grave...

Yes indeed , a forum member gave me a solution , I tested it a few minutes ago and it works very well.

Finally after what you tell me, I think it's temporary.

It's a shame , Netflix is a good service and Windows Media Center is to me the most beautiful interface that we have on TV
