It's a real shame to hear that the bugs are still present in this "extensively re-written" 2014 version. I reported the song list issue 20 months ago on the Remote Potato support forums before they were shut down. I also tried the support email several times but never received a response.
A cynic might think that this new version is little more than a new purple skin to cash in on iOS 7, whilst the O/S check update added to the old version is just a veiled nag to upgrade.
I would gladly buy the app again if these were fixed, but I am not prepared to re-purchase the same old unaddressed bugs. I know Carlos said this isn't a support thread, the trouble is there isn't a viable alternative.

I'm using Remote Potato 2014 Edition for iOS7 to watch WMC recorded TV on my television via my iPhone and Apple TV, using AirPlay. It works very well. Nonetheless, I really hope that Remote Potato will create a channel (private or public) for streaming media files, especially recorded TV, through a Roku, which is my preferred set top box. I generally find direct streaming through a Roku is better than AirPlay to an Apple TV.
Thanks and keep up the good work.

I doubt we will hear from the developer again until iOS8 and the inevitable 2015 re-skin that follows.

Well I had to gave in and (re)purchased this "new" version. I effectively paid the ransom to get rid of the annoying pop-up nag and to fix portrait video playback - something that should have been a free bug fix on the previous version.
Purchasing the app meant I could then leave a review . I really hope that the developer takes note this and the other reviews and fixes some of the remaining bugs and shortcomings in the app before charging another £4.99.

Remote Potato is returning to the grave. iOS 10 is now listing any legacy 32-bit apps and warning that they will not work in future releases (i.e. iOS 11 this Autumn). It is rather sketchy that this app is still being sold in the App Store at full price by the developer.

It has now been confirmed that 32-bit apps will not run in iOS 11. This is available in beta form now, with the final public release available in September. Remote Potato is still being offered for sale with no warning.
In good news. World of Goo has been updated to 64-bit!

IOS11 will have a new feature called "Do Not Disturb while driving" which will disable alerts/texting while the car is in motion.IT Troll wrote:It has now been confirmed that 32-bit apps will not run in iOS 11.
