Last night I deleted all of my old metadata files, and left just the dvdid.xml file and emby still recognized it so you wouldn't have to create new files. The OP uses MCS, and I'm having trouble making some of the modifications with MCE Reset toolbox.
MCS can be hit or miss sometimes. When it worked for me, it sometimes applied things, other times it didn't work. I only loved MCS because of the collection of themes I have it for. Some are not in the MCT format, and there is no conversion or a lot of them (including one my favorites ). I had to manually convert one over so it would work in MCT, I had to re-invet the wheel as I had no idea what I was doing and it still took a few hours with trial and error. MCE reset toolbox works good for me over all. And the Menu fix exe that is around here keeps my changes.

I see EMBY is not designed to do what I want. I have no desire for another strip, or go to into one app and have movies, games tv. I want an icon for Movies and another for games, etc, as I already have strips setup for everything and I like my layout.

And thanks for the thread, it looks like this is what they are trying to do, maybe I will have the time soon to backup and try it...

Menu fix, I mean the mcsfix.exe (I think) Do you have the file ? I'll upload it to my one drive.... It worked with MCS but, also works with MCE toolbox... It's a little godsend if you have a custom edited menus..

If registermceapp.exe works with MCERSTB, I might be able unregister emby from its default install location on the start menu, and re-register it under movies. This would result in just one additional tile under your Movies strip.
