WMC Streaming?

#1

Post by ITGuy1024 » Fri Oct 28, 2016 12:17 pm

Are streaming plugins still a thing for WMC (Netflix, Hulu)?

Has anyone found a way to get the streaming services back in WMC? I know I could just use my Xbox One or buy Roku, ect. But I like everything in one place. If WMC isn't capable anymore is there something else I can be using that has ceton tuner / live tv support along with streaming apps built in?

Yep, I looked at those, a few times actually.

My post had multiple questions.

One issue is your question(s) is too vague; there are a lot of options, but you have to enumerate your requirements. Very little out there works well with the Ceton stuff, there's a lot more support for the SiliconDust tuners. You also need to determine if you have copy-protected channels, which decreases your options to one or two potential solutions.

The problem with the streaming apps in WMC is they don't (and never did) work with extenders, so that may be a factor (not sure from your above).
