Windows 8.1 WMC signal not detected

#1

Post by odror » Tue Feb 16, 2016 6:27 am

I have hdhomerun Prime with cablecard. After the latest Microsoft update I cannot view or record. I have no issue with my windows 7 machine. The issues is only with copy protected channels. Local channels are not an issue.

When I issue the following command
c:\windows\ehome\ehprivjob.exe /OCURDiscovery

The HDhomeprime tuner is discovered.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

Sounds like you need to install the Tuner Drivers again. Make sure you checkmark WMC toward the end of the install.

I replaced the tuning adapter and reinstalled the drivers. It is now working for 2 days. It is an intermittent issue. I am not sure if I fixed it. Next is to replace the cable card and the hdhomerun box.

Oh, you have a tuning adapter (TA) Sometimes the HTPC needs the USB hotfix posted at the Ceton Website. Also related to the TA you can cable it like this. Yeah I know the instructions say different.

Forget about the POE Filter in the picture unless you have moca.

What do I got to do for you? Draw you a picture with a Motorola and a Prime? Try it and upgrade your USB drivers.

I have four Primes with Motorola MTR700's and I can assure you it applies.
