In fairness, you only need WiFi for Chromecast (in fact, it won't work over a data plan). But as Richard pointed out, Verizon won't let you have a "wifi only" smartphone, but then, Verizon wants to charge a monthly fee to enable the GPS in your phone too.

AT&T currently has the Nokia Lumia 520 available as a "GoPhone" (pay as you go) for $100. You can use it on the $25/month voice&Text plan, and just use wi-fi for data, as far as I know. Depending on how much voice & text you need, it's a cheap option for someone looking for a basic smart phone (though Google won't let you Chromecast from a Windows Phone! Not because it can't, just because Google doesn't want you to use a Windows Phone).

I'm kinda sad that this plug-in has stopped receiving timely support. Especially since I paid and got a friend to pay for a license, too! Currently, MCC doesn't show up anymore on my laptop -- only on my Android phone.

How do I exit youtube after watching something sent from my phone. It plays ok and then stops and give me the youtube menu but I can't figure out how to easily switch back to WMC.
