Ceton Echo discontinued

#1

Post by stokd » Wed Sep 30, 2015 6:21 pm

I went online to purchase another Echo to find that they have been discontinued and are sold out most places (at least at retail price). Was this a recent thing? It's been awhile since I've kept up with what's going on with the extenders.

That explains why people are asking soooo much for them now.

I saw that a couple of weeks ago. I have one that I can't get live TV audio to work on. All other sounds are fine so I don't think it's a Echo hardware issue. The fact I can't get the plugin to load on my HTPC tells me I have something screwy there but I don't know....

So very sad. I have two spares but now I wish I had purchased more. I kept waiting for another sale. Now I have to cross my fingers and hope that nothing ever breaks. I can't stand the idea of cable boxes. I guess Tivo is the only other option at this point. Gotta have my Dodgers and in my area Brighthouse with digital is the only option. Sometimes it sucks to have five TV's.

I thought the ETH 6 was gone too. They were out of stock for the longest time but it looks like Amazon and Newegg have them again.
