After WMC has been running on my HTPC for several hours, my wife turns on the kitchen TV hooked to an Echo. More times than not, she'll get a spinning circle for Live TV and sometimes Recorded TV. A power cycle on the Echo does not fix it. A reboot of the HTPC does. Not a big thing unless I'm recording something.
Is there a MS HotFix that addresses this? If not, is there a service that I can stop and restart on my HTPC that won't interrupt any recordings?
Thanks,
Mort

Just a wild guess here..... but I would suspect the HTPC's NIC (most likely), or, the echo's eth wire, the switch, or the router if it is being used as a switch.
Could be HTPC's antivirus also.
