Upgrade path for really old InfiniTV 4 tuner card
What is the proper firmware upgrade path for my ancient as dirt InfiniTV 4 tuner card?
I've read that the final release of the firmware is 15.1.13.152 (beta) and 14.10.3.163 (public) and figured out how to use the diagnostic webpage in order to upload the new firmware images.
But I've also read not to upgrade directly to these firmware images if you're running a really old firmware version.
Here's what I get from my diagnostics program page:
Driver Package Version: 13.6.3.1088
Firmware Version: 1.0.9.5
HW Version: 4884
I tried the ones within the program itself and it either was unable to download them or not able to install them (I guess since Ceton as a company is dead that they no longer support the cards?)
So what's the proper upgrade path so I don't mess up the card? Do I need to update the HW version as well? Or does the firmware take care of that automatically?
Thanks!

Follow sequentially from my post http://www.thegreenbutton.tv/forums/vie ... 55#p113655 . If you want to update to the best working HW image I have is attached. The latest stable version causes pixilation for me and others.

So the upgrade path is as follows?
13.5.6.132
14.4.6.21
15.1.13.152
The main reason I wish to upgrade is to avoid the infamous "copy never" issue that I have with NBC and Verizon FiOS. I can't record the Olympics (or anything on NBC for that matter).

Yes, that's the order. The last one should fix the copy never broadcast flag.

Will this work for the InfiniTV PCIe 6 tuner card as well?

Yes but I would stay away from flashing the HW version

What is meant by HW version? I have a PCIE 6 with problems that i want to try to throw a firmware upgrade at to see if it fixes it. I am out of options and running an old PCIE 4 for now.

Hardware version is listed under system tab and is a separate file which you would upload

I was confused because I did not know there was a hardware file that could be updated. I threw the 13/14/15 at my iTV6, crossing fingers! Thanks foir the tech support #ghostofceton
