I recently installed MMC on my Win 10 machine after managing to get Windows Media Center installed and working. Unfortunately I get a series of problems when trying to use MMC as my remote.
Firstly when I run WMC I get the error message:
Invalid Application
Unable to launch "Ceton Otay"
The other thing is I can't connect to my HTPC using my IP address:5382
I dont have a firewall and configured the port forwarding on my hub
thanks
Eddy

Sounds like Buckwheat has hacked into your system.

1) Are you trying to run MMC with 2 systems? Win7 and Win10elchenuk wrote: 1) recently installed MMC on my Win 10 machine after managing to get Windows Media Center installed and working.
2) Invalid Application, unable to launch "Ceton Otay"
3) The other thing is I can't connect to my HTPC using my IP address:5382
4)I dont have a firewall and configured the port forwarding on my hub
2) I don't know what to do about this one, at the moment....Likely, if we fix one, three, and four, this error will go away.
3)the port required is 5832 not 5382
4)Actually you have 2 Firewalls, one in Win10, and another in your router. Port Forwarding opens the doors in the router's Firewall. Are you really using a hub, or is it a router?

I wrote a little blip on how to make this work on Win10. The software you need is over there too.elchenuk wrote:Unfortunately I get a series of problems when trying to use MMC as my remote.
