Hello,
I use the WOL feature for when I access MyMediaCenter and this works great when on the local WiFi. For external access I use a VPN but when sending the WOL packet through it I get the error in the attached (also working message shows on WiFi connection). However it works fine when on WiFI. Interestingly when on the VPN I can use other apps to send the packet which suggests in an issue in MyMediaCenter only. Has anyone else come across this and managed to resolve this?
Many thanks,
Paul

I don't know. But couldn't you simply port forward your WAN IP? That's how it do it.

Thanks Dave
I did think about port forwarding but didn't think this worked with magic packets for WOL. That being said its not ideal as I prefer everything external to use the VPN.
Any other ideas?
