How to check compatibility between tuner card and PC?

hi and thanks in advance for the help. I cant figure out how to "check compatibily" before i purchase a tuner card, on ebay, for my pc. The card is a NEW HP WinTV HVR-1260 TV Tuner Card Low Profile - 594230-001, 589743-ZH1 and the pc is a hp dc7900 sff. I have looked on the HP site and google with no luck. The card is compatible with HP Pavilion Slimline s5-1160 Desktop PC and similar machines. Are there any reasons other than OS and size that a card wouldn't work? The card is only 10 dollars but i still hate buying things i can't use.
