I have TWC. My new Panasonic HDTV (2014 model) after running an auto channel add function, found all my local channels in HD as well as 70 or so basic cable SD channels. So I went to my Windows Media Center and tried to do the same. Nothing was found except the SD channels. I did a manual setup in WMC and changed my tuner to ClearQAM. It still didn't find any channels. So I then tried to manually add a channel using the numbers that I found in a local city data thread. I'm getting "No TV Signal" when I try to view them.
Any ideas what I might not be doing right? Obviously the channels are there because my HDTV found them.
On a side note when you manually add a channel, it asks if want to use QAM 64 or QAM 256. Do you know which one I should choose?
WMC doesn't find HD channels; only SD

If it's the HVR-1600 you referenced in a different thread, it sounds like you have the cable line connected to the NTSC input. Move the cable to the ATSC/QAM connector and rerun live TV setup.

Thank you for the responses. It turns out I have the HVR-1600. Hauppauge support says I have this particular model: 74551 Rev. C1A3 and that it does NOT support QAM. So that answers that. Going to post a new thread asking for recommendations for a new card.
