The reason I like that ASUS card is because it has no fan (no noise), it has plenty of on-board RAM, it performs well for Media Center, and it's not very expensive. You can probably find less expensive ones which will work just as well. The one at the link below is $10 cheaper than the ASUS one, and it's also fanless:

You should update your profile so that people here know that you're in Australia. This will make it easier for people to help you because you have different issues than we do in North America... but similar to people in Europe and the UK. There are people from all over the world on this forum.
