HDCP issues with Hauppauge & Questions about HDFury

so, after a few years w/o traditional pay-tv, finally got satellite service.

i added a hauppauge colossus to my setup for the dish network receiver. what they gave me is the new vip211z, and to my surprise, this has only composite and HDMI outputs; no component output.

so i have it connected via HDMI cable.


it has lots of issues on the HTPC, but that's not a problem for me because i watch via xbox 360 only.

for the first few days, it worked perfectly, but now i'm getting HDCP issues on the HBO, Starz, etc. . channels. All of the regular channels work fine.

i'm wondering if there is any particular reason i just now started getting these errors after all of the time without an issue.

also, i looked at this product, Dr HDMI from HDFury. http://www.hdfury.com/products/dr-hdmi-specs/ <<--- does this look like it would solve the issue i'm having?
