#1

Hi Everyone

Hope someone can help me with this issue

I recently purchase a hauppage HD PVR and I successfully set it up to work with me directv h23 HD receiver on windows 7 64bit on WMC

However the tuner did not came with the remote control so I am trying to use the original WMC remote from HP, but I have not been able to find away to program the IR blaster from windows to work and change the channels

Anyone has ane ideas and how to make this work?
Thank you

The remote controls WMC via an IR receiver. WMC controls the set-top-box via an IR blaster.

Is there any way to make the IR receiver work with this setting?

Or do I need to buy additional hardware?

I was trying to us the program ir server but not sure how to configure it

OK So I finally got the remote to work using IR server and the instructions on this link

http://www.techlifeweb.com/how-to-set-u ... ia-center/

However now I am having another issue, every time I am watching TV the screens freezes every few minutes and about every 5 to 10 min the PVR flashes and the screens loses signal and then comes back again

Is there any setting I need to change ?

Or anyone has any ideas of why is this happening?

Your H23 receiver can do IP tuning.

http://diablo.homedns.org/dvblink/directv.zip

Set a static IP on your receiver. Configure it in the attached app and use the same process to replace the blaster tuning as stated in the above article.

As far as the drop out of your playback I would take a look in the task manager and see what's happening when it occurs.

Hi Venom
Thank you for your reply,

The issue right now is not the blaster since it is working Ok with the IR server program

I order a new CPU and core 2 duo E8400 since right now my mce machine is using an e4400, lets hope this helps to the freezing issue

Also my default Tv recording drive is an USB 1TB drive not sure if this will have any implication since it was working just fine with me previous tuner card

Thank you
