I'm moving to San Antonio this weekend and we are going to sign up for a basic tv package from Time Warner. Here in this small California town we live we have been using the 2250 to record and tune the basic analog cable channels we get. Will my 2250 work with the cable that Time Warner will provide me or do I need to go get a HDhomerun Prime? We are not interested in any of the premium channels, we just want the locals in HD.
Thanks in advance for any information.

If all you want is the locals in HD check into getting an OTA antenna to use with your 2250 first before signing up for cable.

I am in SA and have two different PCs containing 2250s. One is attached to TW and I recently intsalled a Winegard MS2002 amplified omnidirectional outside about 25-foot high for the other. We are located near the SA airport, for reference. We get all of the national network OTA channels and they have a slightly better picture quality than the TW local QAM channels through the other 2250. We also have a Ceton PCIe and there is no discernible difference in the local channels between it and the 2250.
