Fed up of DVB-T2 whats the best DVB-S2 card
Im in the uk and was looking for some advice
Having lived with a black gold DVB-T2 card since release Ive had enough of the hit and miss reception and lack of proper 5.1 I get on the HD channels.
I was thinking of trying a DVB-S2 card as my block has twin outlets for sky in each room. Am I also right in thinking that S2 broadcasts in normal 5.1?
Unfortunatly I need a low profile card as my case is slim but wanted to see which was the 'best' dual tuner S2 card in terms of ease of set up tuning and handling reception?

I'm using a TBS6981 and have no issues with it.
Just run through TV setup, scan for the channels that MC doesn't automatically put in the guide and you're done. (Except for assigning guide data to the channels that have none by default - but that affects all satellite cards....)

You should find that most channels have data included in the MS download, it just isn't automatically mapped.
You can use guidetool to do it:

Or from in Media Center:
Tasks>settings>TV>Guide>Edit Channels> Click on a channel and select Edit Listings.

tbs6984 quad dvbs2 has served me very well since replacing 2 happauge nova's and 2 HVR440's. Nothing bad to say about any of them but obviously replacing 4 cards with 1 was a bit of a result
