My wife's laptop goes in hibernation mode right after starting up. It is a Dell Inspiron 1500 with Vista.? Never had this problem before and she only uses it once or twice a month. Anyway to get it working normally again? If we try Control alt delete while it is in hibernation mode nothing happens.

You posted that question in the wrong forum, and really on the wrong website (this is a Windows Media Center website, not a general computer support website). But I'll respond anyway. When in hibernation, the keyboard isn't supposed to work. To exit hibernation, press the power button. The computer should turn on and resume from hibernation. From the way it sounds, the sleep timeout may be set very low right now (maybe as low as 1 minute of inactivity causes the computer to go to sleep, and the sleep state is set to hibernation). You can change the sleep timeout in Control Panel -> Power Options.
