WMC won't record. WMC error 1073478364

three consecutive programs are scheduled. At first the first one did not record, wmc error 1073478364, now the 2nd will not record either, only the last one. always the same error code.
I deleted all the schedule list and reentered them. Nothing else is scheduled at that time.
Signal was fine.
I uninstalled and resinstalled.
I ran cc cleaner

I have windows7 64 bit.

I think I know the problem. WMC does not wake the computer at the time to record. I changed the hibernation setting to 4 hrs and it worked last night. Is there a solution to the computer not waking up?

Just a FYI over the years using WMC, S3 sleep is the best way for quick wake up. Hibernation copies everything in memory to disk and shuts off the computer, when you turn it on, it loads memory and gets you back to the way it was. This normally takes 3-4X the time that S3 takes and will cause problems (on my experience) with recordings.

I bet the first recording failed because it could not wake up in time.

Disable hibernation and just use s3, that is my advice. Others might have some thoughts here.

You could have other issues (1073478364 does not come up with a direct answer on google) but, this is where I would start.

This is often caused by a corrupted StartRecording entry in Task Scheduler.

They cannot be fixed (at least I am not aware of a way to fix them), but you can delete the task that has been corrupted.

If it is a WMC task, then WMC will recreate the task when it notices it has been deleted (at least it will for certain tasks that WMC normally maintains, not sure if it does this for every WMC task).

The way to delete the task is linked in the post that I linked to immediately before yours.
