Replacing Cable Card Question

#1

Post by organa7 » Wed Nov 15, 2017 2:57 pm

Tried searching for the answer but was having trouble find the answer.

I have been having issues with my tuning adapter getting an upstream connection and the next step is the Cable company (Charter Spectrum) wants to swap out the cable card and the tuning adapter.

For a new cable card will I have to run through the Setup TV Signal again and loose all of my channel lineups?

Nothing else will be changing. Still have the same tuner.

Thanks

No, but you will have to call Charter to pair the new CC with the tuner.

Great thank you. Been so long since I originally setup my system I could not remember. Contacting Charter will not be a problem since they will be on site to do the exchange since they need to resolve the entire issue.

Just wanted to make sure on my end what I might have to handle that they would not know how.

Yea, if you are not changing the tuner, provider (Cable Company CC to Verizon Fios CC), or physical location, I am pretty sure re-running the TV setup is not required.
