I've been using WMC since the days of XPMCE because it was so easy to fast-forward through commercials. Now I am running WMC and recording OTA TV programs on 3 Win7 computers (with 4 tuners each) that are a part of my business network.
The recorded programs are often subsequently copied between machines depending available storage.... and I have never had a problem watching the shows upon demand from anywhere on the network....
Have I been extremely lucky or are the OTA TV show recordings not DRM protected? Should I anticipate DRM problems when I upgrade a video cards so I can replace a current 10 year old "720p SD" TV with a 1080p or "4K" unit?
Thanks for your guidance.

OTA shows are not protected by DRM. Copy away. Upgrade away.
