Ignoring the times, when I actually was using all the tuners (watching and recording).

Yes, every once in a great while. It usually means it is time to re-power my switch, tuners and pc.

I have 2 main causes for it:

1) My switch goes flakey after the least little power flicker.

2) If I do a lot of watching of tv in Media Player, directly streaming from the tuner. Sometimes the tuner doesn't get freed.

I agree with TheReaper, I run the ceton 6 turner ETH on comcast, and every 2-3 months, It just needs a power cycle, problem solved fro another 2-3 months. Rarely, if ever power cycle switches, but of course a power cycle never hurts. with home networking.

Hello,
By "power cycle" you mean to unplug it from the power plug and plug it back in, right?
