Hi all.
I had a new computer built. I will replace the one that I use MC on now with a new one. The new one is an Asus Z-97 Deluxe with an Intel 4790K CPU.
I was wondering if I should expect any problems doing a fresh install of Win 7 Ultimate 64/32 with MC built in? I assume it will still work, and Microsoft could not tear out MC from my original CD install disk. I am sure they would if they could!
Any ideas you have will be great! Thank you.

You should be just fine. It was WMC on 8 and 8.1 where you had to buy a license to activate WMC. And as you know, they no longer sell WMC licenses for 8/8.1. But, you're talking about WMC on Win7, so you should be all good.
Be advised that there has been some recent Electronic Guide issues occurring since the end of June, however there are some preliminary reports that MS has possibly fixed the issue. There's a 40+ page thread in the EPG sub-forum about it, if you have trouble downloading guide data.

Start using your new WMC system with EPG123 and save yourself a lot of grief.

GREAT! Thank you all.
Yes, Scallica, I had to use the newer EPG for the build I'm on now. ANCIENT. LOL Asus P6T Deluxe VerII with an Intel 920K. all SATA II. I'll look that EPG up when I get it back which should be in a couple days. I found Seans MC save thing, and have it all backed up now.

You do know, you dont need to buy a 8.1 licence any more...Just use the Windows 10 WMC.... it works on 8 / 8.1 (it was actually ripped from 8.1)UCBearcat wrote:You should be just fine.
