PlayReady Update not working (for a long time)

Hi,

Every so often (not very frequently) I am prompted to update my PlayReady. When I do it tells me that it didn't work.
For the most part it is without negative effects. There seem to be here and there a channel that seems to require it.

I had this problem for a long time and recall going through update of PlayReady suggestions and so on that did not help.

Is this a know problem?

Yes.

Reset DRM didn't help. New O/S helped for awhile, then it broke again.

In my case there were 2 likely causes.....Incorrectly configured Network Adapter and Bad Ram. My inexperience was also a suspect, after rebuilding everything weekly for about a year, I eventually got it right.
