WMC 7 HDHR3-US "Tuner Not Found"

#1

I have an HDHR3, and WMC on Windows 7. This used to work at my old house, but just getting around to setting it up after a move.

On the WMC machine, the HDHomeRun Setup can find the tuner. I can view shows through that (in the VNC viewer) or with the HDHR View program. When I try to setup WMC, it almost immediately comes back with the "TUNER NOT FOUND" message.

I think I've read all the threads on this, but cannot find the solution.

Stuff I've tried:

I have reinstalled the HDHR software (and it updated the firmware on the HDHR)
Rebooted everything (multiple times)
Deleted the WMC database
Removed and reinstalled WMC
Turned off Windows firewall
Disabled IPV6

SSDP Discovery service is running
HDHomeRun WMC service is running

c:\windows\ehome\ehprivjob.exe /OCURDiscovery also outputs nothing

The network is simple, ASUS RT-N66U router. The HDHR is connected directly to it, and the WMC computer is wireless.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Well, I just did a complete uninstall and reinstall of the HDHomeRun software again, but this time I installed it in a different location. I don't know why, but that seems to have fixed it.

I ran into this problem when I bought a new WiFi router. I used same ssid to keep everything simple and the hdhr and htpc are cat 5 connected on their own seperate router but because Wifi router does the ip addressing I had to go into windows and re establish that it was on a home network.. Then and only then could wmc see the tuners. But symptoms were same homerun software could tune but wmc could not.
