No one beats the motion picture industry on their Customer Contempt Policy, not even Microsoft.
At least in the old days of VHS you got to fast forward through Simon Bates explaining the film rating to you. Unskippable pre-rolls on DVDs are a good reason to rip your own discs to watch.
