WMC 8 EPG downloads wrong for my zipcode

When setting up WMC 8.1 I go thru the "Set Up TV Signal" option...
This takes me to Region: (shows United States)
- I then click the radio button for "Yes, use this region to configure TV services"
Then click Next
This takes me to where you enter your zip code..
- I keyed in 44001 for my location
then click next
This takes me to the Program Guide Terms of Service.
- I click on the radio button for "I agree"
Then I click next.
This takes me to "TV Signal Detection Result" shows 6 tuners.. (I have a ceton infinitv6 tuner card)
- I click the radio button for "Yes, configure TV with these results
This takes me to "Activate Your Cablecard" Do you want to set up Windows Media Center for use with CABLECARD?
- I click on the radio button for "YES"
The cablecard was already paired.
Just click next..
Next page is "call your cable company"
but since I had aready paired the card with them,
It shows me all six tuners enabled for one way Authorization with TWC.
Then I click next
This takes me to the TV Signal Provider screen
It shows 12 different EPG providers..
- six of them are under
'Recommended Options:
Armstrong Utilities - South Shore South Shore Digital
AT&T U-verse Cleveland Digital
Grafton Cable Communications Grafton Digital
Time Warner - Lorain County Elyria Digital
Time Warner Cable Lorain Digital
Time Warner Cable Vermillion Digital
Other Options:
Armstrong Utilities - South Shore South Shore Standard Cable
AT&T U-verse Cleveland Standard Cable
Grafton Cable Communications Grafton Standard Cable
Time Warner - Lorain County Elyria Standard Cable
Time Warner Cable Lorain Standard Cable
Time Warner Cable Vermillion Standard Cable

Since I have digital package, I tried the Recommended sites..
I live in Amherst Ohio 44001 area code which TWC shows as the Elyria/Mentor region when I go to my online account and display the channel guide via
the internet. In the past, I've always seen a Time Warner Cable Elyria/Mentor entry but now its missing from the guide service for my zip code of 44001.

I tried all six and none of them provides the correct channel lineups, or guide info matching my TWC service here in Amherst.
So I called TWC cablecard support to see if they could give me a zip code that gets me the Elyria/Mentor EPG info.. (they claim this is not
their stuff, its under Microsoft.)

So I called Microsoft support, they want me to pay them $99 just to ask them a question..
(but this is not a software/hardware issue on my pc, its an issue with Microsofts third party programe guide provider not supplying the correct EPG
for my zipcode.)

How to I reach out to the EPG provider service? I need them to put the Time Warner Cable Elyria/Mentor Digital cable EPG info back out there for the 44001 zip code.
Anyone know how to reach these folks?

Time Warner Cable doesn't know how,
Microsoft won't help unless I pay them 99 dollars first... (no way that's gonna happen)

So who do I contact ?

Not all of the channels were wrong, but there were about 50 that were.
I had to go thru each channel and compare it to TWC channel guide online.
Then use edit channel/edit listings in WMC to remap the guide info from the wrong channel to the correct one.
The guide info was wrong on both htpcs.. wmc7 and wmc8.

In some cases I had channels in the guide that would not tune anything... and did not show up on the
TWC online channel guide.. so I just disabled those.

Also disabled the ppv and on demand stuff since my Cable card tuners don't support interactive stuff.

So I got my guide working again... with no missing info.
I did contact ROVI corp and let them know the epg for 44001 has bad info in it.
(I don't know if they will correct it though)

I checked my wmc7 pro htpc and its guide was jacked up too.
Many channels displayed No information available. When I tried to
edit channels, then edit listings, select new channel to map from, WMC would lockup and restart.

So I ran TV SETUP and selected Time Warner Cable Lorain Elyria Digital for the epg.
Its wrong again.. Mainly on the lower channels. The HD and encrypted ones
were mostly right. About 50 chans were wrong, but I was able to
go to edit listings and copy the correct listings to the channels from
where they were mapped wrong.

after about 30 mins I got them all mapped.
what a pain in the ass.
