Remote Potato iPad App
Does anyone know if the Remote Potato iPhone app will every become a universal app and include an iPad interface? I went ahead and bought the iPhone app that is in the app store now and it works great. It just looks bad and feels cramped when it could be using so much more real estate.

I am also testing. If you go to Carlos' forums he provides information about the upcoming iPad app. I will say the native iPad app is impressive to say the least. I will gladly shell out the $6 when it comes out. Carlos initially wanted to do a universal app to extend the iPhone app, but he stated that he found the libraries for a universal app added too much complexity and difficulty to manage and therefore decided to make a standalone HD version. As a former developer, I can understand that as the logic would be strange to have to handle different rendering controls and options depending on the interface.

it pretty much replicates media center on your ipad / iphone. epg and scheduling recordings, streaming of media, music and photos and download of music and photos to the client. you install a small server program on the HTPC which also lets you access the same stuff through a web app in silverlight and html.

Not yet, anyway. Keep an eye on the bureaucrats in Brussels. Hollywood is spending A LOT of money to lobby them on the issue of IP protection and ownership rights.

MS will have to support the way in which I get my dvb-s2 streams into MC before they can start applying DRM to it!! (DVB-Link TV Source).
even in the long term it would take a massive change in the way in which TV is delivered in the UK for DRM to be implemented. i don't see it happening in this format

Hey just to say that the iPad app is released this Tuesday (12th July) - I posted about it here:

Just tried it and it works really nicely - bit of a delay on mine, probably my media enter, but the iPad app is really great
