WP7 APP - Media Center HD-EPG Beta 0.99 released

#1

Post by Helgor » Thu Jan 26, 2012 9:52 am

“Media Center HD-EPG” is an advanced "Remote Potato" client with more functionality than other remote potato clients.

- watch TV on your phone
- handle recording conflicts
- complete offline EPG
- deep web source integration
- real remote control
- plays media directly on your media center pc or on your phone
- ...

visit http://www.hdepg.wordpress.com to see it in action in a 12:50 minutes demonstration video.

it brings your media to you, wherever you are in the world. Videos, TV, recorded TV, music, pictures, it’s all instantly accessible over the Internet, streamed live from your home.

All you need to access your media is the free “Remote Potato Server” and an active internet connection. Videos are streamed in stunning quality – AVI, MP4 files, Quicktime – most major formats are supported. Never sync your mobile again!

Windows 7 Media Center owners benefit from full integration with their home PVR – schedule recordings, browse the EPG, stream recorded TV shows and more…

Looks good. I like that you can add whole albums to the playlist in one go. You can't do that with Media Buddy or Remote Potato's own mobile html.

thanks, there are much more things which you cant do with any of the other remote potato apps.

- switch tv
- play media on tv
- change aspect ratio
- switch fullscreen
- complete offline epg
- send remote commands also if the media center is in the background
- ...

I've not had a chance to have a real session with the app yet but so far I like it a lot!

Really nice layout and graphics, lots of options to tweak and it works very well.

The Live TV streaming will be great for non DVBLink users too.

This looks great, very well designed UI.
I'd like to do a wee bit of testing for you if I can.
UK user, using Freesat and freeview (and soon fta european satellite) on an x64 windows 7 htpc.
My phone is an HD2 running mango, will this still work, or is that something you'd like to test?
If you havn't already, you might want to post over at xda-developers, quite a big community there.

I haven't watched the videos (wordpress is blocked from work). The "play media on TV" sounds interesting. Does this allow you to browse recorded TV, and then start a recording on the main TV that is connected to the PC?

If so, would it be possible to add a feature to also be able to start the recorded show on one of my extenders?

A guy at this thread has two for sale. You can also find them on e-bay. Are you willing to buy one or two to test this feature?

Well, I was actually leading to something else. I might be willing to buy an extender and ship it to him in exchange for free software. However, now I realize that his app is for Windows Phone. I was thinking it was for Android.

I take it back, that's very generous.

When your contract ends, I'm sure you'll see the light and switch for your next phone. ;)

This looks exceedingly cool I must say.
[ponder] Can WP7 phones run without a sim card? :)

If so I would consider having one as a glorified remote :D
