ps3mediaserver for MKV streaming from WMC to XBOX360

Yes. It is used for PS3 but it works for XBOX360 too. It's super simple to install and much less bloated than any of the other options (like Tversity, Orb, Mediahome) that I've tried. Here is the webpage. http://code.google.com/p/ps3mediaserver/ Norton360 indicated that the file is safe.

The settings I changed were:

1. In the General Configuration Tab: Check Check Automatically Update checkbox.
2. Uncheck any checkboxes in the Navigation /Share Settings tab.
3a. Transcode Settings tab: Type mp4, avi in the Skip Transcoding for the following Extentions box because XBOX does play these types of files.
3b. Below that in the Force Transcoding for the following Extentions box type in mkv

There is an option for subtitle playback but I haven't use it.

P.S. I will be uninstalling this because I just realized that there may be a chance that FFD Show will transcode also. (See my post)
