Hi
I'm using Windows 8 with the Media Center plug-in.
My problem: After watching live TV (Satellite using TBS 6981 card) for a few minutes, the sound starts to stutter and gradually gets worse until there is no sound. If I simply go up or down a channel, the sound is fine, then it starts to stutter again after a few minutes.
I have the latest drivers installed for the TBS card, the HD on board sound and the motherboard.
Over things like Spotify or iPlayer work faultlessly.
Where do I start my diagnosis?
HELP!
Can somebody help me diagnose sound problems?

It can be a list of things such as your incoming signal, cables/connections or even your hard drive. I would check things in that order.

Record something. Watch it. Watch it again.
If you get the same behaviour both times, the problem is probably with the tuner/your video signal.
If you get different behavior, it's probably an issue with the audio drivers.
By "same behaviour", I mean exactly the same drop outs at exactly the same time - listen for a specific phrase that drops out half way through, for example, and see if the same thing happens every time you play that clip.
