Hi,
I am using DVRMSTOOLBOX (http://babgvant.com/files/) and have been trying to create a profile to convert avi's and mkv's to a format that my extenders (DMA-2100) can play with all the features (ffw,rewind,resume,etc.)
I tried converting things to wmv but the quality seems to degrade. I've seen an option for an HD wmv but haven't been able to implement it.
Can anyone suggest or create a profile(s) that I could use for converting .avi's and .mkv's to
I've tried converting an .avi to dvr-ms but they don't play correctly however they playback works fine with .mkv's although the slider is off.

If you want reliable FFWD and RWD, I've found that WTV and DVR-MS work. There may be a couple of others, but I'm sure it's very limited.

I haven't tried it, but I'm sure if you google "convert avi to wtv" or "convert avi to dvr-ms", you will find something. There are probably others here on this forum with experience too.
