Channel problems and workarounds for your local area

Mods, Staff, Members,

Do you think it would be helpful to have a subforum called "Local Channel Settings" or something similar? It would contain one thread for each "geographic area" so that we could discuss the latest problems and changes to the channel lineups relevant to our own local areas.

For example, my area thread would be "San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose - OTA antenna". Sample discussion would be about how channel 2 and 7 have multiple frequencies and how to select the best ones for your area, how channel 54 has tuning problems and how to work around that, etc. Side note, we could also summarize the latest info on corresponding wiki pages. Side side note, this would be another case where it would be convenient to have a wiki summary right there at the top of each thread.

I was inspired by AVS Forum, which has something similar:
http://www.avsforum.com/forum/45-local- ... reception/

They also include some stickies at the top, so you can find your relevant thread: Discussion in those AVS Forum threads about channels and tuner reception are probably general and would apply to Media Center users as well. But of course the difference is that the threads at TheGreenButton would be focused on Media Center specific tweaks.

What do you think? Feasible? Too much work? Will people find this useful?
