HTPC Specs in your Mini-Profile!
Whats that you say? You want TGB.tv to be even MORE useful than before?
Now you can update your HTPC specs in your user profile, and they will automatically appear under your mini profile in all the topic views. Mine are already loaded in- to see them, click on the Monitor+ icon next to "HTPC Specs" over on the left side of this post. Yours will appear once you start adding specs on your own.

You can add user-customizable fields to put in that area by default, but I had to use one plugin to get the show/hide function, then I had to find a good +/- icon to fit in, and then I had to figure out how to make the the entire line disappear if someone had not put in the data yet. So 1/3 phpBB plugin, 1/3 straight out of the box, and 1/3 my own doing

Just a thought;
How about PSU, Amp, TV (or display device) and Optical sections? Or does it start to get mad at that point!!!

Graphics card, OS (32 or 64bit), optical drive, and if you really want to get crazy an entire other monitor icon for "Software Specs". Personally I am more interested in what programs, add-ins, OS, register edits, drivers and other software related stuff than I am hardware. Just my two cents.

hi, brand new here. I registered because I would like to find out how to add this type of thing to one of my boards. I also am interested in the site. I am in the process of setting up my HTPC and am looking forward to learning from here.
I see that you have used custom profile fields to create the different listings. I am curious how you did the hide/drop down thing.
Would you mind sharing how you did this? thanks,
lumpyb

Suggestion: Increase the size/number of charecters of the "Tuner" listing in the form for the HTPC specs in the mini profile; I (and probably others with multiple tuners) are not able to list all the tuners on their WMC systems. Currently only have space for "2xHDHR3CC,2xHDHRUS,2xTBS5980", even though I also have an "HVR2250" as well that does not have space in the form.
Time is on my side.
