BBC have announced the launch of BBC2-HD will take place at 6am on 26 March 2013

Anyone care to estimate when BDS/Red Bee will launch the corresponding guide data for WMC in the UK?

I'm still running a daily Sky EPG grab after the end of year data fiasco so hopefully that'll have data that I can use while we wait for the download data to appear.......

This is really just a renaming of BBC HD. If you get data for that, you'll most likely keep getting data. Probably have to manually rename the channel though.

I thought it was a simulcast of BBC2, so there would be significant differences compared to the existing BBC-HD 'showcase' programming.mark1234 wrote:This is really just a renaming of BBC HD. Content differences, yes. New channel name, yes. But just a repurposing of existing infrastructure and bandwidth that BBC HD uses currently.

Agreed. In which case I'm probably not as confident as you that the BBC2-HD EPG data for WMC will be accurate. Thinking about it, maybe the best plan would be to map Channel 102 to Channel 2 and simply use the BBC2-SD data instead. That way all you'd lose are the markers for which programmes are HD, rather than upscaled SD.
