Does anyone know where I can get the transponder settings for the extra C4 paralympic channels?

Found the transponder settings for the Paralympics.

For the Channel 4 Standard Definition Paralympic Channels:

11469 H 27500 FEC 2/3

For the Channel 4 High Definition Paralympic Channels:

12304 H 29500 FEC 3/4
10921 H 23000 FEC 8/9

These are obviously available in the UK and of course we already have the main Channel 4 in SD or HD. There are several countries broadcasting the paralympic games but strangely enough the USA seems very lacking in it's coverage, limited to a few 1 hour highlights on 4, 5, 6, 11 Sept and a 90 minute special on 16th Sept all on the NBC network as far as I can tell. After surprising myself with how much I ended up watching and thoroughly enjoying the main Olympics, time will tell how lucky or not we are here in the UK with full coverage over the 4 HD channels for the Paralympics!

The US coverage is dreadful. But looking back through wikipedia it's been this way since Athens (2004) at least and is possibly related to the US falling down the medal table - 3rd in Beijing is their best showing since leading at Atlanta in 1996. Team GB has been a pretty consistent 2nd place throughout.

Channel 4 are claiming 40% of the TV audience for the opening ceremony last night, with average viewing figures around 3 times the peak viewing figures from Beijing. I know it wouldn't have transferred directly, but wouldn't NBC have killed to get 40% of the TV audience?

In the US, the Olympics really isn't a very big deal. I found a list of the top 46 broadcasts in the US, and 21 of them are Super Bowls. The only two Olympic events to make it into the top 46 were the two that featured Nancy Kerrigan and Tonya Harding (Figure Skating). Number 46 on the list only got 43.1% of US households.

I haven't either. I thought it was some kind of skydiving event until I looked it up.

I'm surprised. I've always thought it was a big thing in the US. You always do well in a wide range of events and have hosted the games several times.

As for not knowing about the Paralympics at all, that's shocking. I don't normally pay any attention to the Olympics, but even I was aware of the Paralympics. I didn't know, however, that it started in Britain; that it was is something we should be proud of.

Some of the athletes stories are amazing as well. Like Sarah Storey, who was winning swimming golds at age 14, switched to cycling and is still winning golds - including Team GB's first gold of these games. Along the way Sarah has broken 72 world records! Or Martine Wright who was almost killed in the London 7/7 bombings, the day after London was awarded the Olympics, and now competes in Sitting Volleyball. And with the recent conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan there are many ex-servicemen and women who have used sport to get over serious injuries and are now competing in London.
