Black Friday / Cyber Monday Deals

#1

I don't know how popular this will prove to be, but for those lucky enough to be in North America, in a couple of days, there may be some good deals on HTPC parts and related items.

if you find any great deals or sites, please post your threads here.

I'm personally on the look out for an i5 MB / Processor and memory combo (forget the hard disks for now lol!).
This is to be for a Server 2008 R2 VM environment, but none the less, applicable here.

NCIX.com have served well in the past, no sniff of deals yet though.

I'm looking for a good deal on an SSD drive, or two. Anything 60gb or larger preferably SATAIII... but I'm not going to be too picky! lol.

Recorded TV HD is half off for cyber Monday. $20 is too much in my opinion but $10 is a lot more palatable.

It's a plugin that replaces the recorded TV folder. It has a couple different skins to choose from. I just got it because you can organize recorded series into different favorite folders. My kids are filling up the hard drive with shows and it's getting hard to navigate. Now I have my shows in one folder and theirs in another

I would hate to add up the true cost of my HTPC. :)

a little late, but found an A4-3300 with MSI A75A-G55 mobo for $109 before a $40 rebate. After doing a little research, found this to be a good deal. It was hiding up at the top of a Fry's ad on Saturday. Then when I got to the store, it was hiding again. This time, it was on the back of another combo, basically covered up. Must say this is an excellent setup compared to my previous setup. Much less power output, very quiet, and having a built in Radeon 6450 destroys the 730s(geforce 8200) setup I had before in smoothness. Plus it has 3x PCI-e x1 and 2x PCI-x16 so plenty of room for more tuners or Crossfire if I want. I know some have poo pooed on the AMD Fusions compared to the i3, but I like it and it cost basically $70

Well, to round this one up, at 11:55pm last night I bought Battlefield 3 for the PS3 half price at $29.99 direct from EA.
I had to cheer myself up somehow!
