Ceton doesn't want to get left holding a warehouse full of paperweights. They'd rather sell them to unsuspecting buyers.

If you feel the need to use the Echo, I would buy it trough Amazon. This way you have a great return policy. I bought 3 echos in December and returned all 3 in January and did not lose a penny at all.

Yep, Newegg's return policy sucks. I had a similar experience with a Homerun Prime. Return shipping and restocking cost me alot. Hopefully Amazon will follow suite and mark the Echo down to $99 like Newegg. If I didn't already have a house full of Echoes, I'd pick up a few more.

Returns are free with ShopRunner, which, unlike the Prime at Amazon, works with many vendors.mdavej wrote:Yep, Newegg's return policy sucks. I had a similar experience with a Homerun Prime. You can always chat with Newegg reps to remove the restocking fee. Never failed me.
