On a side note, anyone want an Infinitv 4? One just became available.

Well yeah but they announced it almost a year ago and it still hasn't shipped, not to mention that it will probably be double the cost of this promo. This is a great deal for the 3-tuner model.

Same here. I'll miss my 7th tuner, but I've had enough of that damn pixelation issue.shoffert wrote:On a side note, anyone want an Infinitv 4? One just became available.
Of course, knowing my luck, the 4-tuner model will get announced next week... oh well.

And those are maximums for the HDHRP. I don't know about the InfiniTV.richard1980 wrote:7 watts (HDHRP) vs 14 watts (InfiniTV4 PCIe).
My measurements of the HDHRP are below. It uses more power as more tuners are used:
Idle (no tuners in use) - 5.0W
1 Tuner - 5.8W
2 Tuners - 6.6W
3 Tuners - 7.4W

It is on sale again today (turkey day) for $99.99
It saved my WMC experience. Been up and virtually flawless for a year. NEVER had a connection issue.

Amazon also has that price and free shipping.
With local Comcast scrambling QAM channels here next week and making my old HDHomerun Dual obsolete for cable use, I'm debating whether to add a second Prime or wait til the new cablecard model ships next year. Empty nester, so I may be able to limp along with three tuners for a while.
Existing Prime has also been flawless here and running 24/7 since the unit was introduced.
Antenna is sketchy in my location or I'd hook my Dual up to one.

Check out the "TV Signal Locator" on http://www.tvfool.com (the link is in a button on the left side of the page). It will give you good information about what kind of antenna you need. Many people don't know this, but if you live in a deed restricted community, the home owner association can't prevent you from putting up an outdoor antenna. The same is true for apartments and condo's, with some restrictions. In apts and condo's you have to locate the antenna on a private outdoor space like a balcony, and you can't drill holes in the building to mount it.Dragonfly wrote:Antenna is sketchy in my location or I'd hook my Dual up to one.
You might be surprised at the quality of your reception. Back in the analog TV days, reception in my area was crap no matter what you did, short of erecting a 100' tower. But now, with digital... it's beautiful. Mine is a medium size outdoor antenna on a 20' mast so that the antenna is about 6' above the roof of the house.
