Savev $50 on Ceton Echo with free eggsaver shipping from Newegg (just got this information in the mail, stopped in at Newegg this morning and made the purchase. This is below the price you can usually get one used on ebay and is the first one I have seen at this low a price without needing to combo the item!

Still about $30 higher than it should be given all the issues and limitations with it, but it's getting there. Makes you wonder if sales are flagging and they're looking to dump product, this is a big price cut six months after release. Or maybe it's just the usual newegg sale.

It's not just a Newegg sale - Ceton sent out an e-mail about it.

Yep, I found it because of a Ceton email sent out, and just now looked at my emails again and looks like Newegg has posted this under a 48 hour promotion so I assume at midnight Pacific time on the 23rd this promo pricing will expire.

*edited the time the promo is running to more accurately reflect the corrected time!*

For me $130 was the highest I was willing to pay for a used one on ebay - so this deal was perfect in terms of seeing what the hardware and software can do. My hope is that the software develops and matures in the near future to where I can sell off some of my Xbox 360's while they still have value and flip them to Echos

We work with all of our distributors throughout the year to offer special deals on all of our products. This sale is a 2 days sale, today is also Earth day and the Echo is an extremely eco friendly product :)

A HTPC and an Echo together burn less energy than an XBox on it's own :D
